It was held at the Pines Manor Conference Center in Edison, New Jersey. We were introduced to the FBLA and PBL State Officers. After registering, we had the Open Sessions where we recited the Pledge of Allegiance, the FBLA-PBL Pledge and Creed quickly followed.

Students were moved to both to tears and laughter as they listened to a presentaton entitled "Going for Your Dreams" by a motivational speaker.

The General Session was followed by a variety of leadership aworkshops, and then a lucheon. The motivational speaker led one, it was an interesting piece on a "Winner's Edge" and how with a few simple warmups you could be excelling at things you never thought you excel at.

i.e. sports (running average, and etc.), and school work (tests, homework, and ect.)

Last, after the workshops had finished up and each of the chapters re-grouped, everyone attended the luncheon.

CRHS FBLA members packed their bags and headed off to the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel to join other FBLA members from high schools along the east coast as they prepared to polish up their leadership skills. In addition to attending leadership workshops, students made many new friends.

-On Friday, we were given the afternoon off upon our arrival for free time, until the Opening session started. A majority went to see our NJ State Officers compete in the State Battle of the Chapters. we left with 2nd place.

-On Saturday, we had to attend 3 workshops of our choosing before we were alotted more free time. One of the main attractions for the day was the Baltimore Christmas Parade, which was four hrs of fun. Later on that night, we had another oppurtunity to cut loose by going to a dance that was for the FBLA members. At the dance they had provided us with a miny carnival containing various games we could play in exchage for a ticket our advisers were handing out.

-We departed for CRHS early Sunday morning.

The Regional Conference was held at Mercer County Community College. After a speedy registration, we headed for the gym and were welcomed by State Southern Region Vice President Anthony DiGirolamo. Anthony opened the general session after all of the chapters had been seated, and soon after he briefed us on the days schedule. Between events many of us relaxed in the lounge or ate lunch in the cafeteria. After everyone had attended their event, we all gathered in the gym again to find the placing all of us were over-whelmed when we discovered a majority of our local chapter had won Awards and now had a spot in the events at the States Leadership Conference coming up in March.

For some it was their first competition as a member of FBLA, and they definiely left glad they had attended.
