Online Lesson Plan Guidelines and Procedures
In the event that our school closes for COVID-19, we will be moving all classes and lessons onto OneNote. I will create a “Daily Lessons” folder that will outline your assignments for each day. Therefore, you will need to go to OneNote à Daily Lessons à Today’s Date. Read the instructions, find the materials, and complete the assignment. Each assignment will be locked after 24 hours of being posted, therefore, you have 24 hours to complete an assignment for that class day.
These assignments will be graded and put into Genesis. It will be reported to your parents/guardians, guidance, and the district supervisors if you miss 2 consecutive days of lessons.
If I need to assess learning in the form of a quiz, test, or project, I will provide notice in advance and will use either Microsoft Forms, Quizizz, or a tab in OneNote. Clear instructions will be provided in this case.
ALL IEP/504 MODIFICATIONS WILL BE FOLLOWED
I will be available during my office hours for communication and teaching purposes. If you have questions regarding the material, assignments, or anything else, please send me an email at email@example.com or send me a message on Remind. Please email me on a case-by-case basis for outstanding circumstances or for instructions for hard-copy assignments. I will use my office hours to answer questions, respond to emails, and help students with the material.

My name is Samantha Sullivan and I am a teacher in the History Department. This year I will be teaching United States History 2 CP and CP Plus Research, Dual Credit World Regional Geography for the ECHS program, and Dual Credit Administration of Justice for the Justice Academy.
United States History 2 CP Plus Research: This course is intended to provide a more in depth analysis of America’s history from the turn of the century to current day. Major themes we discuss in this class are industrialization, globalization, America’s involvement in war, civil rights, and America’s development as a world power. By the end of the semester, your child should be comfortable with historical analysis and writing. We utilize the DBQ project, teaching through film, and discussion to help break down major themes throughout the curriculum.
Dual Credit World Regional Geography for ECHS: This course is in conjunction with Rowan College of South Jersey and the Early College High School program. Major themes we discuss in this class are globalization, the history of regions, and geopolitics. Students are required to conduct a large amount of outside reading and map making in addition to their education in the classroom. This class is designed to operate like a college course and will require students to actively discuss topics, teach their peers, and identify causation and effect of various events and their impact on the world.
Dual Credit Administration of Justice: This course is in conjunction with Rowan College of South Jersey and the Justice Academy. Major themes we will discuss in this class are factors for defining and enforcing crime, major developments in America’s criminal justice system, and current challenges to the criminal justice system. Students are required to conduct a large amount of outside reading and map making in addition to their education in the classroom. This class is designed to operate like a college course and will require students to actively discuss topics, teach their peers, and perform in simulations aimed to teach various skills and requirements of a criminal justice job.
It is important that students can access the internet regularly to complete assignments for their course. Each class will rely on OneNote, an online notebook, to access texts, assignments and notes for the class. Sophomores will actively be using the Achieve3000 program to promote literacy. All grades will use EdPuzzle to watch educational videos related to the course.
