The CRHS School Nurses, with help from Ms. Rizzo and Mrs. Stant, have demonstrated safety protocol for entering and leaving a classroom, along with reminders for students as we return to in-person instruction. Students are asked to watch this brief video to prepare to return to school.
Nov. 9, 2020, Update: CRHS has issued an Instructional Guidebook for Hybrid Learning, as well as responses to questions that have been asked by students and their families so far related to returning to in-person instruction.
The CRHS Nurses' Office urges the Cumberland Regional school community to take precautions to protect themselves and others with flu season approaching, including getting a flu vaccine and using everyday preventative actions to stop the spread of germs and viruses. Cumberland Home Football Game Procedures: No tickets will be sold at the gate or prior to the game. Limited tickets will be distributed to football players, cheerleaders, and band members prior to the game to give to family members. These are the only tickets for entry into the stadium. Lost tickets will not be replaced. No re-entry if you leave the stadium. Bleachers will be available for seating. Please sit every other row, leaving the rows with caution tape on them open. You may also stand if you choose. Children in attendance must be accompanied by an adult and must stay with the adult throughout the game. No concessions will be available, and no food should be brought into the stadium. Masks and physical distancing are expected.
Reminder: Parents/guardians are urged to complete and return free/reduced-lunch forms as soon as possible. This information is critical in allowing us to meet the needs of our school community. Forms are available on the district website under the Parents tab > Food Service page and can be returned to the Main Office to the attention of Mrs. Athey. Printed forms also are available during the weekly meal pick-up at CRHS on Tuesdays from 9-11 a.m. Any questions can be directed to Mrs. Athey at email@example.com.
CRHS guidance counselors will hold "Coffee with the Counselor" morning Zoom meetings to allow students and parents to connect with them, ask questions, and get assistance. Counselors are available from 7:30-8 a.m. via Zoom for drop-in meetings on the following scheduled days: Mr. Reichardt on Tuesdays, Ms. Smith and Mr. Fisher on Wednesdays, and Mr. Kennedy and Mrs. Lloyd on Thursdays. On Mondays and Fridays, counselors will have regular availability, and they can be reached by phone or email throughout the week. Zoom links will be sent to parents and students via email.
Weekly five (5) meal ‘Grab & Go’ meal pick-up will be offered to CRHS families from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesdays. The pick-up location is outside the A/B Commons on the right side of Cumberland Regional High School (nearby the softball fields) if facing the school from Silver Lake Road.
Each ‘Grab & Go’ bag will contain five (5) breakfasts and five (5) lunches that comply with Federal school meal nutrition requirements. Students will only be allowed to pick up meals once every five (5) student days.
Breakfast and lunch service will be available on a weekly basis for school days listed on the 2020-21 CRHS school calendar.
Meals are being provided at no cost to Cumberland Regional High School families, regardless of free/reduced-meal eligibility, through the New Jersey Seamless Summer Option.
Please note it is still important to turn in your free and reduced lunch forms. We do not have an end date for the current meal plan and need to have your information on file and ready when the plan ends.
CRHS families also have the option of picking up their weekly meals from Myron L. Powell School on Mondays from 4-6 p.m. or from Hopewell Crest School on Thursdays from 4-6 p.m.
Effective June 25 and until further notice is given, meetings of the Cumberland Regional School District Board of Education will be held in person in the Cumberland Regional High School Media Center, 90 Silver Lake Road, at 6:00 p.m. The Board of Education meetings will no longer be accessible via teleconference. All applicable State guidelines regarding maximum occupancy and safe practices will be in effect. Meetings will be open to members of the public, who may access the Media Center from the Main Entrance and are asked to adhere to all requested safety measures.
