This course is an introduction to the language and culture of the Spanish- Speaking World in North, Central and South America, including Europe and the Caribbeans. A high level of student participation is achieved through the use of material and hands-on-activities that are designed to enable the student to utilize the language correctly for communication and the basic skills of listening comprehension, speaking, grammar and culture. Special emphasis is placed on the studies of the Hispanic population residing within and outside the United States.
