• College Math is a course that is designed for students who have not passed any of the math assessments required to earn a diploma.  Students will prepare to take the PSAT in October and then prepare to take the Elementary Algebra portion of the Accuplacer.  Both of these assessments are options to demonstrate students’ math proficiency.  Once students complete both the PSAT and Accuplacer, students will focus demonstrating the skills necessary for the Math Portfolio required by the State of New Jersey for an appeal.

    How to achieve goal:

    • Achieving passing scores on certain PARCC assessments;
    • Achieving certain scores on alternative assessments such as SAT, ACT, or Accuplacer; or
    • The submission by the district of a student portfolio through the Department’s portfolio appeals process.
