AP Physics 1 is an algebra based, introductory college level physics course. Students will develop an understanding of foundation principles based on mechanical and modern physics by applying these principles to complex physical situations that combine multiple aspects of physics. Students will not only identify and discuss the physical situations and how to explain them, but will also conduct laboratory investigations in order to identify physics principles through data analysis, interpretation and observation. This course is also designed to develop students' critical thinking and scientific reasoning skills through complex problem solving and execution of student driven laboratory experiments.
