The CDP program is focused on helping students improve areas of behavior and social skills in order to help them achieve success in school, work and in their personal lives. This is accomplished through a behavior modification program, incentives, academics, discussions, progress tracking and informal conferencing.
The CDP program encompasses various subject areas on its online software programs. Each subject area has its own daily objectives. The teacher will be assisting students in achieving these objectives throughout the day. Academically, Mr. Pillis will be directly instructing the subject of Language Arts.
Students will be able to increase their language arts skills on an individual and individualized level, in the following areas:
vocabulary lessons, review of Plato software work, independent readings in areas of interest (including, but not limited to, poetry, horror, suspense, sci-fi, fantasy, music, sports), descriptive writing practice, informational writing practice, creative writing practice, grammar skills questions.
