¡Bienvenido a la clase de Español 1!
¡Hola! and welcome to Spanish class! My name is Stra. Rojas. I will like to take this opportunity to let you know how happy I am to be teaching you Spanish this semester. Acquiring a second language has many benefits. The purpose of this course is to help you become proficient in a second language. You will do so by learning and using four skills– listening, reading, writing and speaking. After the first day of class, I will use very little English in my instruction. It is not common to feel a bit overwhelmed at first, but RELAX and give it a chance! You will be amazed at how much you will understand!
I look forward to an exciting semester with you in Spanish class.
Spanish I students are introduced to the skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking. Thematic topics include personal information about students immediate world, which includes their interests, school life, family, friends and self. These units build basic vocabulary and grammar skills. Students will be able to ask and understand basic information to be able to survive in the language. In addition, this course will seek to enhance an understanding for the diverse cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.
