Other Information Regarding Grading
- Other point deductions may occur for incomplete work, incorrect responses, insufficient effort, or for work that does not meet the requirements of the assignment.
- A five-point deduction will occur whenever an assignment is turned in without a name, the assignment is completed in pencil (except for tests/quizzes and projects requiring creative license) or another color ink besides black or blue, and/or if the original assignment sheet is not attached to student work.
- Formal writing assignments (essays and short-constructed responses) must be typed. Please use MLA format (see the handout provided). Up to a ten-point deduction may occur for incorrectly formatted papers.
- Grades will NOT be discussed during class time (unless it’s a mathematical error). Students wishing to discuss their grades must make an appointment to see Miss Muhlbaier during SERA.
