VLGR Units and Due Dates

Spring 2018: For Language Arts 2 HN, students will be required to participate in a weekly vocabulary program.

Each week, a new unit will be assigned from the Vocabulary from Greek and Latin Roots: Level IV text.  Below is a list of due dates for assignments related to the vocabulary program.  It is the responsibility of the students to keep track of all assignments and due dates!

 Note: In lieu of weekly quizzes, students will be assigned a Review & Application assignment every three units. These assignments may be completed using students’ words from the previous units of study, or they may require students to complete informal research and make inferences based on the ability to identify the parts of a word (prefix, root, suffix) and to decode the meaning of the new words.  However, all Review & Application assignments are based on Latin & Greek roots and commonly used affixes; therefore, these assignments will provide a more authentic way of acquiring new vocabulary, and as such these assignments will be graded as quizzes.
