Spanish 2 Course Description

In Spanish 2 students continue to advance their skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.  Thematic topics include personal information about the students' immediate world, which includes their interests, media/technology , home, travel experiences, friends and self.  Students will be able to ask for and understand basic information to be able to survive in the language.  In addition, this course will seek to enhance an understanding of the diverse cultures of the Spanish speaking world.  Students will be able to read simple authentic texts such as short newspaper articles, surveys and advertisements.  In addition, they will read a variety of literature poetry & short stories) appropriate to their level.
