Interdistrict Public School Choice

The Cumberland Regional School District is excited to announce openings in its Agricultural Sciences Academy through our school choice program. Our academy provides a comprehensive education in agricultural sciences and related careers. Students will explore career paths and acquire essential agriscience skills, with a focus on securing meaningful employment or advancing their agricultural studies in college. As part of the program, students will join Future Farmers of America (FFA), a national organization dedicated to fostering leadership, personal growth, and career success in agricultural education. They will also participate in a supervised agriculture experience project, which offers hands-on opportunities in entrepreneurship, job placement, or research, tailored to various specialized areas within agricultural education. The curriculum follows the CASE framework to ensure a rigorous and relevant educational experience.

Students applying for our school choice program must submit a minimum of 250-word essay to include the following:

Paragraph 1: What experiences or interests have you had that align with agricultural sciences or led you to this field of study?

Paragraph 2: How agricultural sciences prepares you for your future aspirations?

Paragraph 3: Why are you choosing to attend Cumberland Regional High School over your home school?

Cumberland Regional School Choice Profile

The School Choice Application 2025-26 is due to CRHS (Attn.: Ann Marie Greynolds, 90 Silver Lake Road, Bridgeton, NJ 08302) by Nov. 25, 2024, for any students applying to enroll at CRHS for the 2024-2025 school year through School Choice. 

Students applying to enroll at CRHS for the 2025-2026 year through School Choice who are currently registered with his/her resident district should complete the Notice of Intent to participate, submit it to their resident district (NOT to Cumberland Regional High School) by Nov. 25, 2024, and obtain a signed receipt acknowledging submission of the form. Keep the receipt for your records. By law, a resident district must be informed if a student intends to participate in the Choice program.

NOTE: When making your decision, please be aware that transportation may not be provided for your student. Depending on the circumstances, the resident district may provide aid in lieu of transportation. (Visit the New Jersey Department of Education’s Choice School Transportation Procedures for more information.)
