Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Nicole Reaves-Marshina

Hello, my name is Mrs. Nicole Reaves-Marshina and I have been teaching at Cumberland Regional since 2007. I graduated cum laude from Rowan University with a Bachelor of Arts in English/Language Arts and Secondary Education. In the fall semester, I will teach students in Language Arts III (11th grade), and Yearbook class.  In the spring, I will teach Language Arts 1 (freshmen) and African American Literature. In the past, I've advised various clubs, such as Rare Pearls, our young ladies group; Breakthrough Gospel Choir; Native American Awareness club; and Young Men Can Make a Difference (YMCMD), our young men's group. this year, I will focus on yearbook and Breakthrough Gospel Choir.

In addition to teaching, my husband and I have a busy blended family of 8 children and 1 grandson.  My husband, son, and I sing and play with a faith-based band and volunteer at a local addiction and recovery center.  Our children range from ages 18-28, and they are all unique and creative individuals, pursuing careers in construction, electrical, teaching, nursing, sociology, and music.  With all of this going on, I am proud to say that this year is off to a fantastic start, and I look forward to all it has to offer. Please know that we, as educators, can not accomplish all we have and must accomplish without the support of our parents, students, and community members as a whole. Your support, input, and feedback are desired and appreciated. Feel free to select your child's class, club, or Yearbook ordering information and/or contact me at if you have any additional questions.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me.  I look forward to doing the same with your student.

Here's to a phenomenal year.

Sincerely, Mrs. Reaves-Marshina
