Hello and welcome to Language Arts 1! I am Ms. Swineford and I am so excited to start your High School adventure alongside you. As a second year teacher, I am certain that I will be learning just as much each day as you do. I hope that at the end of the year, together, we will have created a classroom that reflects the environment of respect, safety, and joy that I envision and expect from Cumberland Regional High School’s students.

Here is a little about me: I graduated from Stockton University with a B.A. in Literature and a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Literature has been my passion for as long as I can remember and reading is one of my life-long hobbies. Some of my other hobbies include hanging with my large greyhound, Huxley, gardening, writing, and, more recently, baking. In the classroom, you and your classmates can expect to see enthusiasm, high expectations, diverse literature, and (probably) pictures of my dog.
