• General HIB Information
Overview of Harassment, Intimidation & Bullying

The Cumberland Regional School District strongly believes that student safety is a fundamental right. Students must be given the opportunity to learn in an environment of trust and support. To that end, we fully embrace the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights and related board policies.

Cumberland Regional School District's anti-bullying, harassment, and intimidation (HIB) program is designed to create a respectful and tolerant atmosphere. Ongoing programs for students take place throughout the year, focusing on bullying prevention strategies and working toward building a consistent "Climate of Respect."

In accordance with NJ law, each school has a designated anti-bullying specialist, who serves as the primary school official responsible for preventing, identifying and addressing incidents of HIB in the school.

STUDENTS, STAFF MEMBERS AND PARENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PROMPTLY REPORT BEHAVIOR DISPLAYING POSSIBLE HARASSMENT, INTIMIDATION OR BULLYING.

This is very important information that every parent should read. Please review the following information, and do not hesitate to call the High School Building Principal/District Anti-Bullying Coordinator with any questions or concerns.

Our HIB School Self-Assessment Score is a 78.
