CRHS celebrates November 2021 Students & Staff of the Month

Cumberland Regional High School congratulates the November 2021 CRHS Students and Staff of the Month

Students and staff were nominated and selected because they demonstrated characteristics which align to living the C.O.L.T.S. Life at Cumberland Regional High School:
Team Player
Self Discipline

Student of the Month, 9th grade: Grace Frazer
"Grace is always prepared for whatever the lesson will be that day. She is an extremely hard worker that always comes to class with a smile on her face. There is never a day when she does not greet me at the door upon entering the classroom. Grace has a great work ethic as she always turn her work in early or on time and being of high quality. She is willing to work with anyone in the classroom on group projects and never complains about anything. She also was able to overcome a soccer injury and work extremely hard to make it back by the end of the season."

Student of the Month, 9th grade: Anthony Bilinski
"Anthony Bilinski has proven himself to be a wonderful, self-disciplined, and caring student in my classroom. He is quick to ask for help when he needs it, comes to tutoring to work on assignments, and always helps his peers. He is a source of great humor in my classroom and doesn't let anything stand in the way of his success. While school may not be Anthony's favorite thing in the world, he comes to class and does his best each day. We are so lucky to have him in our classroom each day! Keep up the good work, Anthony."

Student of the Month, 10th grade: Lillian Trout
"Lillian has proven herself courageous this past month. She has always given her best effort in class but has been growing more confident. She is taking on more of a lead role in the class, benefiting everyone. She goes above and beyond with the lessons and discussions each day. Lillian has also encouraged others to be more confident. A rising tide lifts all boats, and Lillian's growth is benefiting many in our Colt family. Great job, Lillian!"

Student of the Month, 10th grade: Yarshanae Nock
"Yarshanae is a great student in my language arts class. She goes above and beyond with all of her assignments and cares about her academic success. Yarshanae is friendly and kind, and I am really happy she is a student in my class. I know she will continue to have a great semester."
Student of the Month, 11th grade: Lillian Cruz Garcia
"Lillian is one of the best examples of someone living the Colts life for many reasons. She is a student in my ECHS Advanced Drama class, and she is constantly striving to do her best with all of the material we cover together. Also, she is an amazing part of the fall play, Tower Stories. Lillian has a big part, and she is involved in so many scenes and she always knows what she is doing every single time. All of this aside, Lillian has one of the most resilient dispositions, and she is just always striving to do better and be better. I am constantly in awe of her, and I feel lucky to have her in my class and in the play."
Student of the Month, 11th grade: Brad Clark
"Brad is a dedicated and kind student who exhibits the caring characteristic of C.O.L.T.S. Life on a regular basis. He responds with respect with teachers and other students and always strives to do his best. Brad is a talented individual as well, and his attention to detail is greatly appreciated in the classroom."
Student of the Month, 12th grade: Alazea Rivera
"Alazea leads our class in discussion and participation and propels conversation in the classroom by asking her classmates what their opinions are and offering her own in return. She is a kind and caring person who I look forward to teaching every single day."
Student of the Month, 12th grade: Damien Welden
"Over the past few months Damien has grown so much and has been a positive light in the building. His work ethic and drive to succeed have been very admirable to see. Damien has proven time and time again what it looks like to keep going no matter what battle is thrown his way. I am so proud of him and what he has been able to accomplish."
Football: Quameer Saunders
"Quameer has been the staple of hard work and dedication to our program. He has been battling a few tough injuries but continues to show up and give everything he has for our team. As a captain of the team, he has to set a high standard for himself and continues to reach that standard week in and week out. We are proud of the player and person Quameer 'Scoot' has become."
Colleen Kennedy & Colleen Prater

"Both Colleen and Colleen led the 'One Reason You SMILE' initiative, in which students and staff were invited to send a note to another student or staff member. This was an overwhelmingly successful event that allowed students and staff to show kindness to one another. I can't wait for this to happen again. Thank you both for being positive, caring members of our school who lead by example!"

Ed Carson & Ed Sayre
"Ed and Ed are so helpful to me while I am getting the students prepared for our fall play. They have both had to adapt to the fact that we are doing the play so late this year with the PAC construction. Mr. Carson takes care of all the business aspects of the show like tickets, programs, posters, etc. so that I can focus on the artistic side of things. Mr. Sayre is getting ready to move us into the PAC while acclimating himself to an entirely new lighting/sound system. They have both kept me focused when I have panicked about a lot of things."
We applaud these exemplary students and staff for their efforts and thank them for their contributions to the Colts family.
