If your Chromebook or charger is not working:
Please ask your teacher to send you to the SWIC for a replacement. Please note that we understand some devices may experience issues out-of-the-box, and we will replace the device immediately. However, if new physical damage is found to the device that does not fall under normal wear and tear, your account may experience a fine as determined by administration. Please treat the Chromebook with respect as per the CRHS Chromebook Agreement. Remember insurance is available for your Chromebook to avoid fines from damage.
*Please note: Chromebooks are released over the summer for the graduating class only. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO POWERWASH ONCE YOUR SCHOOL ACCOUNT IS REMOVED (typically August). Once that happens, please follow the steps to powerwash the device and turn it into a personal Chromebook.
The school uses The Microsoft Office platform for email and productivity suite software. This includes full access to programs such as Outlook Email and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, OneNote, and OneDrive cloud storage. You can access your email, applications, and any online classes from any Internet-connected device anywhere in the world.

Installing Office applications on your personal device
You can install full versions of Microsoft Office applications on a personal device at any time. This is very beneficial to anyone who prefers to use their own computer, tablet, or mobile phone to access, view, and edit in the same way you do with your school-issued Chromebook. You will have full access to all available applications throughout your tenure at Cumberland Regional High School.
BYPASSING MICROSOFT 365 MULTIFACTOR AUTHENTICATION
When you change your password, you are doing so for your school-issued Chromebook AND all email, office applications, and TEAMS. Please note this does NOT change your Genesis password.
To change your password, visit Microsoft Password Management, log in using your current password, and follow the on screen prompts.
IF YOU CAN'T LOG IN:
FIRST, make sure you're typing your email address correctly.
Your full email address is on a sticker on the bottom of your Chromebook.
Please check the spelling completely. Do not omit your first initial (or initial variation).
Do not forget the leading 2 digits that indicate your graduation year.
Please note that long, hyphenated, and compound last names may have been simplified due to system requirements.
Please note that passwords are case-sensitive.
IF THE TECH TEAM HAS RESET YOUR PASSWORD:
While not required, it is recommended that you use Microsoft Password Management to change it to something you will remember. This will dramatically increase your account security.

Genesis is our student and parent portal for all school-related items. Forms, notifications, and grades can be seen here as well as student management.
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING PASSWORDS:
Genesis passwords can be reset from the Genesis page. However you must wait 10 minutes to log back in for the account to be enabled again. Simply click the link below to the Genesis access you need and click the button labeled FORGOT MY PASSWORD.
PLEASE NOTE this does NOT change your Chromebook, e-mail, Office, or TEAMs password.

If you cannot connect to your home Wi-Fi, we recommend you immediately contact your service provider for them to help you with your home networking setup. Cumberland Regional High School has no control over home Internet access issues, and wants to provide you with support numbers so you can get quick service from your ISP.
