Girls Tennis: Congrats to Emma Kelly at first singles and Hannah Gray at second singles for taking 2nd place in the Cumberland Girls Tennis Tournament on Saturday. Both girls did a tremendous job and should be proud of their accomplishment! Nice job girls!
Esports: Our Varsity Super Smash Bros team delivered a commanding 2–0 victory over Cherry Hill West! Anthony Terregino brought the heat with Isabelle, while Charles Claypool unleashed Pokémon Trainer to help sweep the competition. Both players put on incredible performances, showing just how dangerous this duo can be!
Our JV Smash team kept the momentum rolling with a fantastic 2–0 win over Seneca High School! Susette Vernacchio swept through the competition, while Conner Langlois piled up eliminations with Sephiroth. Together, they gave us plenty to celebrate and helped make it a huge week for both Smash teams!
Not only that, our Marvel Rivals team completed the winning week with a dominant 2–0 victory over Seneca High School! They kept the pressure on and never gave the opposing team a chance to breathe. Michael Devnoshire lit up the competition with an extraordinary Human Torch performance, Bryan Abrams brought the power with Magneto, and Chase Kiel delivered an amazing showing with Hela!

The Tri-M Music Honor Society is collecting POP TABS from your soda can to help the Ronald McDonald House. Collection jugs are located in all the commons and the main office or you can bring them to Mrs. Harrison in J103. Tri-m will collect the pop tabs all year long and then donate them to the Ronald McDonald House who will take them to an aluminum recycler in exchange for funds. The Ronald McDonald House is a nonprofit and its programs and services help alleviate some financial burdens for families along their child's healthcare journey. #crhscoltnation

Cumberland Regional High School's Academy Showcase on Thursday, October 15th at 6pm in the PAC invites current 8th grade students to explore their paths. The girls tennis team improved to an overall record of 10-5 and 6-0 in the division. They took on divisional rival Triton winning 5-0. Winning in straight sets were singles players, Emma Kelly, Hannah Gray and Mollie Willis. The second doubles team of Mady May and Shay LaTourette also won in straight sets and the first singles team of Gabby Keener and Emma Mihalecz won easily in a third set tie breaker. Wish them luck as the travel to Vineland to play in the Cumberland tournament on Saturday! #crhscoltnation

The girls tennis team with another win, this time against Salem. We celebrated our seniors, Gabby Keener, Kami Anderson, Mollie Willis, Mady May, Dalila McDowell, and Amalya Lopez on Senior Night. I am beyond proud of these girls for building a winning culture this year, but more importantly, I'm proud of the quality young women they have become. CRHS XC took on Holmdel Park, one of the toughest cross country courses in New Jersey, and the course lived up to the reputation.

The girls tennis team upset the #5 seed Toms River South to advance to the quarterfinals of the group 3 playoffs. #3 singles Mollie Willis won 6-4, 7-5 while #2 singles Hannah Gray took care of business 6-3, 6-3. #1 singles Emma Kelly secured the third match by coming back a set down winning 4-6, 6-3, 10-6. The girls travel Tuesday to clash with the Cougars of Montgomery High School. GO COLTS!

Michael Devonshire kept opponents under constant pressure with Spider-Man, taking on crucial one-on-one fights and coming out ahead. Brylee Mantooth came through with outstanding healing as Invisible Woman, keeping teammates in the fight when it mattered most. And James Bruce unleashed Winter Soldier in team battles, helping power the team through the competition!

On Sept 30, Colt Nation hosted 73 athletes for a high-energy Speed Training session! Teams in attendance: Basketball, Cross Country, and Wrestling. The session was an Acceleration day focused on the all-important first step — the foundation of explosive performance.

Have you heard about Cadet Madison Murphy? As a first-year cadet from Cumberland Regional’s brand-new JROTC program, Madison volunteered with almost no preparation to compete at the JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge at Ring Homestead Camp (NY). Facing nearly 300 cadets from 15 schools, she earned an incredible 2nd-place finish in the Cadet Challenge and impressed the Cadet Board with her knowledge, military bearing, confidence, and professionalism.
