Dear Parents/Guardian(s),
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you about the upcoming NJSLA-A (New Jersey Student Learning Assessment Adaptive) testing, which will take place during the week of May 18th-22nd during blocks 1 and 2.
During this time, all freshmen students will be taking either the NJSLA-A Algebra 1 or NJSLA-A Geometry assessment (depending on math course) and the NJSLA-A Language Arts Grade 9. The first two days of testing will be mathematics, then writing, and the last two days will be language arts.
It is important that all students approach this testing with their best effort. The results will help identify their academic strengths and areas that may need improvement, which can be valuable for their future growth.
To help students prepare for the NJSLA-A, we have attached a PowerPoint presentation with strategies and tips for test day. Additionally, we recommend visiting www.crhsd.org/njslapracticetest. This site contains useful information about the test, along with practice tests and sample items that can help students feel more confident and prepared.
We encourage you to explore this resource with your child, as it will provide valuable insight and practice materials.
Please make sure that students come to school that week with a fully charged Chromebook and charger for testing.
Thank you for your continued support, and we wish all our students the best of luck with their assessments!
