Nine Cumberland Regional High School Students Honored as New Jersey CTE Scholars
BRIDGETON, NJ — Cumberland Regional High School is proud to announce that nine outstanding students have been officially named recipients of the prestigious New Jersey Career and Technical Education (CTE) Scholar Award for 2026.
The recognition was formally delivered in a commendation from Dr. Jorden Schiff, Assistant Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) Division of Teaching and Learning Services, to Cumberland Regional School District Superintendent Mr. Carl Dolente.
The CTE Scholar Award program honors New Jersey high school students who demonstrate exceptional achievement, dedication, and leadership within their respective Career and Technical Education programs. Following a rigorous internal review process by the state, all nine of Cumberland Regional’s nominees met the state's strict eligibility criteria.
The distinguished 2026 Cumberland Regional High School CTE Scholar Award recipients are:
• Arthur Marchand
• Emily Marchand
• Maahishee Patel
• Annaliess Perez-Andon
• Hailey Randall
• Gianna Sanchez
• Stephen Ternay
• Raelynn Wilford
• Aleah Woods
"We are incredibly proud of these nine exceptional students," said Superintendent Carl Dolente. "This statewide recognition is a testament not only to their hard work, talent, and commitment to their futures, but also to the strength and caliber of the CTE programs we offer here at Cumberland Regional. These students represent the next generation of skilled professionals and leaders in our community."
CTE programs provide students with academic and technical skills, knowledge, and training necessary to succeed in future careers and higher education.
Cumberland Regional High School will receive formal certificates of recognition from the NJDOE and is currently finalizing plans to celebrate and distribute the awards to these deserving scholars. In coordination with the state, the students’ achievements will also be featured on the official New Jersey Department of Education CTE Scholar Award Program website.
