Girls Softball Texas Roadhouse Night

Softball Update:
The CRHS softball team defeated Highland 23-0 on Tuesday. Maci Kwap, Addison Weist and Lizzy Pflieger play the Colts with two hits a piece. Casey Snead, Ally Mareno and Emery Pflieger each added one hit a piece on the day.

Gabby Ripa and Kolbie Wilson each pitched 2 innings for the Lady Colts allowing just 1 hit in 4 innings and striking out 8.

Come out Thursday at 4:00 to support the team when they host Delsea! #crhscoltnation

The girls golf team competed in sectionals for the first time in school history. They proved they hard work was worth it. Although they will not be moving on as only the top two winners move on to states, they did finish 4th in a field of 12 teams which is a great accomplishment and couldn't be more proud of them! Congrats to Nicole Tarquinio, Maahishee Patel, Molly Houck and Mollie Willis. Great job girls! #crhscoltnation

Boys Track & Field competed at the Cumberland County Championship Meet on Friday, 5/1 and made Colt Nation proud! All of the athletes who competed put forth very competitive running times and throwing and jumping marks and their many medals prove this! Some highlights include: Dereon Johnson winning 2nd in the 100m dash and 1st in the 200m dash; LaRon Adams winning 3rd in the 400m hurdles; Justin Cornwall winning 2nd in the 400m; Joell Bryant winning 1st and Duhmajze Cartwright winning 3rd in the 800m; Mekhi Jenkins winning 3rd in the Shot Put; and Evan Bodine winning 3rd in the Javelin. Also, Richard Pierce put forth a truly elite performance in Javelin. RJ won 1st place and broke the Cumberland County Meet record with an impressive throw of 187-5'! After their meet performances, several athletes have new state rankings!
* Dereon Johnson: Ranked 84th in NJ for the 100m dash & 15th in NJ for the 200m dash
* Joell Bryant: Ranked 72nd in NJ for the 800m
* Richard Pierce: Ranked 6th in NJ for Javelin
*4x400m Relay of Justin Cornwall, Kamal Branck, Joell Bryant, and Dereon Johnson: Ranked 40th in NJ

Sunday Alumni Spotlight — Stephen Wilchensky, Class of 2024. Stephen recently interviewed retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce during Kelce’s visit to Rowan University. He is completing his Bachelor of Arts in Sports Communication & Media at Rowan University and will graduate on May 13th. At Cumberland Regional High School, Stephen was part of the Early College High School program and the STEM Academy. He will begin his professional career at Hall of Fame Sports Memorabilia following graduation. The girls golf team took its 6th straight win, beating Vineland, Schalick and Delsea this week.
Scoring for the lady Colts in the three matches were Nicole Tarquinio, Maahishee Patel, Molly Houck, Mollie Willis, Ellie Nichols, Kaitlyn Daly, Rachael Gibson, Abby Sharp, Lita Watson and Sophia Dunn.
Molly Houck and Ellie Nichols both hit birdies to help the team beat Delsea in exciting fashion.

The girls also qualified for state sectionals for the first time in the school’s history and will tee off on Monday up at Rutgers. Wish Nicole, Maahishee, Molly and Mollie the best!

And shout out to Nicole who is ranked #52 in the state out of #1580 girl golfers! That is an incredible accomplishment! #crhscoltnation

The CRHS Softball team beat division rival Deptford on Monday 14-1! Ja’Lynn Brown led the Lady Colts with 3 hits, including her 1st home run of her career! Casey Snead had 3 hits and stole 3 bases while Lizzy Pflieger, Alyssa Pierce, Maci Kwap and Payton Genco all had 2 hits each. Genco also had a home run on the day!

Gabby Ripa had a great day in the circle for the Colts. She allowed just 1 run on 5 hits and struck out 12….earning her 200th career strikeout!

The JV team also earned a win on the day with a score of 20-1! #crhscoltnation

On Thursday, April 16, 2026, the Cumberland Regional High School FFA Ag Mechanics Team competed NJ State FFA Spring CDEs and won 2nd place at the NJ FFA Agriculture Mechanics and Technology Career Development Event.
Individual Placements were as follows:

Mason Seay- 19th
Gabriella Swift- 29th

There were 12 teams and 40 students competing at this state level event.

On Saturday, April 18, 2026, the Cumberland Regional High School FFA competed at Delaware Valley University in Doylestown, PA and won 4th place at the State Livestock Evaluation Career Development Event.

Girls Golf Updates!

~The Girls Golf team did it again, winning the SJGIT tournament at Wedgewood against 12 other teams. They took first place winning by one stroke over the 2nd place team. Nicole Tarquinio, Maahishee Patel, Molly Houck and Mollie Willis competed for the lady Colts. Nicole Tarquinio took 2nd place overall in a field of over 60 golfers. Great job ladies!

~Another win for the girls golf team. They beat a strong Williamstown team scoring their lowest team score of the season with a 194. The team was led by Nicole Tarquinio who continued her strong season leading all scorers with a par 36! Also contributing to the win were Maahishee Patel, Molly Houck, Mollie Willis, Ellie Nichols and Abby Sharp. #crhscoltnation

All Juniors will be taking the NJSLA-S on April 27th and April 28th during blocks 1 and 2. Students need to make sure they are aware that this test is a graduation requirement for the State of New Jersey.

The content on this test will include various science content. Please take time to look at the website and familiarize yourself with it.
