Boys Winter Track Update: Varsity Boys Indoor Track and Field competed at the TCC Showcase at the Bubble in Toms River on 1/31/26. The team placed #7 in the conference with some notable performances! Highlights include: Joell Bryant WINNING the 800m with an impressive time of 2:02; Dereon Johnson placing 3rd in the 55m dash with a PR of 6.69; and Dereon Johnson placing 2nd in Long Jump with a PR of 21-3.5 feet.
All of the boys who competed achieved a PR, including: Sirius Holden in the 55m dash, SaeJon Murphy and Cameron Jones in the 800, LeTrell Warren and Ryan Wallace in the long jump, and SaeJon Murphy and Colin Pfleiger in the 400.
Special shout out to Jaida Harris for winning 2nd place in Long Jump and 3rd place in the 55m dash!

Congratulations to the Swim Team for their showing at the Tri-County Showcase on Wednesday at GCIT. The Boys 200 Medley Relay of Manntram Patel, Andrew Sheppard, Grady Belum and Ryker Barile placed 3rd overall. Individual medals were won by Riley Husted placing 3rd in the 200 Free, Manntram Patel placing 3rd in the 100 Butterfly and Andrew Sheppard placing 1st overall in the 100 Breaststroke. Sheppard for the 2nd time in 5 days broke his CRHS 100 Breaststroke record lowering his overall time to a 58.00 overall as he climbs the ranks in New Jersey. Senior Riley Headrick in the 100 Free and Freshman Lucy Headrick in the 100 Breaststroke put up season best times as well. As a team, the boys finished 5th overall in the conference meet. The Colts have one meet remaining against West Deptford on 2/9 which will conclude their regular season. The Colts currently sit at 8 wins and 1 loss on the season including a perfect 6 and 0 record in the Tri-County Diamond Division. #crhscoltnation

SWIM UPDATE: Congrats to the Colt Swim Team on their 134 to 29 win over Deptford. The win secured the team with a perfect 5 win and 0 loss record in the Tri-County Diamond Division capturing the division title for the first time since the 2008 season. The 200 Medley Relay of Manntram Patel, Riley Husted, Carter Fischer and Grady Belum, the 200 Free Relay of Andrew Sheppard, Bryce Everingham, Grady Belum and Manntram Patel and the 400 Free Relay of Andrew Sheppard, Carter Fischer, Megan Stanger and Ryker Barile swept the relays. Individual wins by Andrew Sheppard in the 200 Free and 100 Butterfly, Bryce Everingham in the 200 IM, Manntram Patel in the 50 and 100 Free, Maahishee Patel in the 500 Free, Riley Husted in the 100 Back and Lucy Headrick in the 100 Breaststroke paced the Colts to victory. The Colts also celebrated their seniors last night that consisted of Kylie Stipes, Riley Headrick, Maahishee Patel, Payton Genco, Gianluca Esquivel-Bustos and Javian Richards. The Colt Swim Team currently have an overall record of 8 wins and 1 loss on the season. Good luck as the Colts compete at the SJISA Invitational on Saturday against the top swimmers in South Jersey.
TRACK UPDATE: Justin Cornwall (senior) and Dereon Johnson (junior) qualified for the very ambitious Nike Elite Meet at University of Pennsylvania on Wednesday 1/21/26. This meet is limited to the top 25 athletes in South Jersey for each event. Justin competed in the 400m dash and Dereon competed in the 200m dash and long jump. Of particular note was Dereon’s long jump distance of 20 feet 10 inches, ranking him top 50 in all of New Jersey.

This prestigious honor recognizes outstanding New Jersey educators who exhibit exceptional educational talent, an inspiring presence, and a clear, positive impact on students, colleagues, and the school community.
"We are absolutely thrilled that the New Jersey Department of Education has recognized Ms. Campbell's extraordinary commitment to our students and our school," said Mr. Justin Martin, Principal of Cumberland Regional High School. The NJDOE's recognition process includes a review of the nominee's exceptional educational accomplishments, contributions to the profession, and demonstrated potential for professional and policy leadership. Ms. Campbell's work in dramatic arts has been particularly noted for fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment.

Ms. Campbell received a state certificate of recognition from the NJDOE for this achievement.

FFA will be holding it's first Fall Tractor Show in the back parking lot of Cumberland Regional High School on Saturday, November 22nd from 9 AM-1:30 PM. The event is free.
